The home
Hastings Haven is an entire house in Hastings, Minnesota, made for families and groups of up to 12. The open main floor connects the living room, a dining table for 10 and a large island kitchen, so everyone is together at mealtime. Each level has its own place to unwind: a fireplace family room, a heated game room and a lower-level bunk room the kids will claim the moment they arrive.
Guests come for weddings, family reunions, holidays, ski weekends at Afton Alps and trips to Mall of America. It sits on a quiet street across from a city park, under a mile from downtown and about 30 minutes from Saint Paul, Minneapolis and MSP airport.

Kitchen & dining
A large island kitchen with stainless appliances opens to a dining table for 10 and bar seating for four. Extra serving stations make it easy to host a big family dinner.

Kids’ bunk room & arcade
The daylight lower level is the kids’ headquarters: two sets of bunks, full-size NFL Blitz and Pac-Man arcade cabinets loaded with more games, leather beanbags in front of a 70-inch TV and a mini-fridge for snacks.

Living spaces
The bright main living room has vaulted ceilings, a 70-inch TV and Bluetooth sound. Downstairs, the family room has a gas fireplace, a big sectional and a game table with board games.

Game room
Pool, foosball and ping pong share one big heated room with a smart TV, so nobody misses the game while they play. Guests call it the best room in the house.

Outdoors
Dinner moves outside to the back deck with a gas grill and outdoor dining table. The paver patio has lounge seating and a propane heater for cool evenings, and the park across the street has a playground, climbing wall and baseball field.
Bedroom configuration

5 out of 5 starsI am fairly well versed in Airbnbs, having traveled extensively with my job. This home was exceptional and honestly unexpected. Clean is an expectation, but the standout here is they thought of everything. The space is massive and everything was well maintained. We forgot our toothbrush, and sure enough, when we opened the vanity drawer there was one in packaging ready to go for us. The kitchen was stocked with coffees, teas and other basic sundries. We will be back again.
5 out of 5 starsI can’t say enough about how great of an experience we all had at this amazing property! You literally don’t need to leave the property once you get there because there are so many fun activities to enjoy right on site. Hastings is such a hidden gem of a community, and the unexpected trip across the river to Prescott, WI completed a perfect weekend stay. One of the most responsive and kind hosts I’ve experienced in my many years of using vacation rentals.

Meet your host
I’ve been hosting for four years, and Hastings Haven is a home I’ve set up the way I’d want it for my own family: real mattresses, a stocked kitchen, spare toothbrushes in the drawer and plenty to do on a snowy day. I bring years of hospitality experience to every stay, including my time with Nordstrom. I’m also a University of Washington alum, and I love helping groups have an easy, memorable stay in Minnesota.
Message me any time before or during your trip. I respond within an hour and I’m happy to help with local recommendations.
